Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Shah is a Director at JVIMS with more than 20 years of experience in academics and management. He holds a Doctorate in Business Management from Saurashtra University & MBA from Bangalore University. He topped his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering from Regional Engineering College (REC), Silchar (Now NIT).

Prior to joining academics Dr. Ajay has worked in different capacities including Business Development Manager, Strategic group head, Associate Professor, Professor and Director in various organizations of repute. He has rich work experience in several MNCs including Net-Bite, Viramti software and Telecommunication – pioneer in banking software in India.

Dr. Shah is a faculty in Marketing and Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC). His primary research is in the area of Retail Communications, Digital Marketing, and Retailing. He has presented research papers at various National and International Conference in India and Abroad. His scholarly articles have been published in reputed journal. He has written various chapters in Book.  

He has guided Research, provided Consultancy and trained more than 2000 students and professional at various levels. Dr. Shah has been member of several professional bodies and association including Jamnagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), Kutch-Saurashtra Productivity Council (KSPC), Rajkot Management Association (RMA) and Director of GTU Innovative Sankul.

Dr. Ajay is renowned consultants in Marketing Management, Brand Management, Social Media Marketing, Strategic Management and Career Management. He has acquired considerable expertise from his long – standing association with leading firms.

Dr. Ajay has contributed significantly in shaping an Educational Institute and Trust, which is today most sought after institute for higher education specifically in Commerce, Management & Information Technology (IT) in the region. This institution today stands tall for giving exposure and meaningful experiences to its students by encouraging their curiosity & creativity. He has been acknowledged as an accomplished and prolific academic organizer who has initiated several innovative forums, activities and events for holistic development of students.

Dr. Ajay has served as V. C. Nominee & Expert member for faculty recruitment panel duly appointed by Gujarat Technological University (GTU). He has been Director of GTU Innovation Sankul for MBA in Jamnagar. He has also been the Chairman and Member of Academic Inspection Committee (AIC) for various Engineering, MBA & MCA Colleges of Gujarat duly appointed by GTU. He has served in various capacities at syllabus forming committee for MBA & I-MBA in GTU.

He has travelled widely in pursuit of his academic interest and participated and presented paper in various international conference to share and enrich his thrust for knowledge. Chaired many conferences and delivered high profile lectures & key note addresses at several universities and colleges.

Dr. Ajay is recipients of various awards like Nation builder award by Rotary Club of senoras etc. He has been a chairperson for multidisciplinary international conference.

Dr. Ajay enjoys Travelling, Music and Gardening.
