JVIMS is a premier management and Institute in the region driving its strength from strong foundation of Oshwal Education Trust (OET). The lush green eco-friendly campus is spread across 10 acres of land with total built up area of 75,000 sq. ft. with utmost emphasis is laid on hygiene and cleanliness.

JVIMS aspires to be among the best management and Institute. While its oldest MBA institute in the region, it consistently ranked among top 5 MBA institutes in Gujarat. The ambience and serenity of a infrastructure housed in a 'green' campus; faculty who have proven themselves in their respective fields by providing an excellent blend of rigor and relevance in their teaching; staff who are ever ready to reach out; robust industry interactions; research aimed at solving problems of the real world.

Oshwal Education Trust was registered on 14th January 1986, as a Charitable Trust, in order to provide “English Medium” educational facilities to the students of Jamnagar & Saurashtra. One educational institute after another came up in quick succession.

Oshwal Education Trust has been the 'Brain Child' of Shri Ramniklal K. Shah, Managing Trustee, under whose able leadership the trust has matured into a complete educational needs provider. His untiring zeal has been instrumental in starting various institute one after the other - all being managed aptly by dedicated Trustees.

In 1995, Shri Bipinchandra T. Vadhar with his rich experience as an administrator and as a management expert took over the reins of the trust as the "Director of Higher Education". Having realised the dearth for English Medium college and the plight of the students who had to leave town in order to pursue higher education, he worked zealously contributing his might both quantitatively and qualitatively to establish an English medium College namely "Shri Gosar Hansraj Gosrani Commerce (Eng. Medium) & Shri Dharamshi Devraj Nagda B.B.A. College." He is highly instrumental in making M.B.A. & B.C.A. a reality.

These centres of learning are the fruitful outcome of the creation engineered by the founders through their untiring efforts. Several generations to come will remain indebted to the founders for this glorious vision which was translated into action.

Board of Governors

The governing body is the highest advisory body of the institute. Members of Governing Body are Industrialist and Academicians of repute. The institute has other committees to resolve any issues that are material to the day-to-day functioning. The academic council meets at regular intervals.

Academic Council

The Academic Council is an advisory body responsible for advising on all academic matters eg. Framing of academic policy providing advice and input on program, curriculum, syllabi and related matters, provide advice and guidance for institution for new program, medals and honours to students on their successful completion of requirement. The AC involves faculty at all levels and also experts from outside including representative from Academia and government. The Director of the institute is the chairperson of academic council.

Awards & Recognition

JVIMS is proud to be ranked 3rd among top B School in Gujarat.

In a survey conducted by BT-MDRA about “India’s Best B Schools”, JVIMS stood 131st all over India. In the state of Gujarat, JVIMS was 3rd only after IIM-A and IRMA. The survey showed JVIMS left behind well-known and prestigious institutes like G.H. Patel PG Institute of Management and FMS-B (MS University) as well.
